Appearing Procedure for UPSC Examination

Application:
Application is to be provided for the Preliminary Examination only. Candidates who are declared by the Commission to have qualified for the Main Examination will have to apply again and the stipulated format will be supplied to them directly by the UPSC.


Application form for Preliminary Examination:
Application form for Preliminary Examination is published in 'Employment News' or 'Rozgar Samachar' as a specimen. The copies of form are available for sale in main post office of the town after the advertise copy appears. One can also get them from the UPSC office.


In Maharashtra you can get the application forms in the following post offices:

In Mumbai
:G.P.O.,Andheri, Borivali,Chembur,Chichbunder,Dadar,Girgaon,Kalbadevi,Mahim,Mandvi,
Mumbai Central.

In the rest of Maharashtra:
In main post offices of following towns Ahmednagar, Akola,Alibaug,
Amaravati,Aurangabad,Beed,Bhandara,Buldhana,Chandrapur,Dhule,Jalgaon,Jalna,Karad,Kolhapur,
Latur,Nagpur G.P.O.,Ratnagiri,Sangli,Satara,Sawantwadi,Solapur,Thane,Vardha,Yawatmal

Admission fees:

A candidate seeking admission to the Preliminary Examination must pay the prescribed fee(currently Rs.50).Candidates from scheduled castes/scheduled tribes and other backward classes are not required to pay any fee.The amount of fees is to be paid through Central Recruitment Stamps of postal department.

Last date of Application:

The completed application form must reach the Commission on or before the due date mentioned.
